An IS Senior Training Specialist is needed to serve in the capacity of an educator. The Senior Trainer will contribute substantially to the success of the Information Services training program. They will be responsible for mastering several Information Services applications and/or projects and all specific workflows for the projects to which they are assigned. This individual will be expected to develop and implement the training program for their respective projects. In addition, the Senior Trainer will be expected to guide the work of Training Specialists, as directed by the Training Manager. The Senior Trainer will participate in workflow design sessions to gain the expertise necessary for the continued mastery of assigned projects. This individual will be responsible for updating the Lead Trainer and/or eLearning Developer for domain or web-based build necessary for successful implementation and ongoing training. They will ensure that updates and new software releases and build are validated in their respective domains and that updated training is provided. The Senior Trainer will be responsible for assisting with the development and maintenance of all assigned training areas, including eLearning modules. They will carefully review and edit the work of the trainers assigned to assist them. The Senior Trainer will train other trainers within the organization and will train end-user classes. They will also attend all required project and team meetings and participate in upgrade testing to make modifications to the training materials. The Senior Trainer will manage all work assigned to them and will adhere to all schedules, deadlines and quality measures set forth by the Training Manager.
Essential Duties:
Supports all elements of Information Services training planning and implementationDevelops training plans for their designated applications/projectsCollaborates with project managers, applications specialists, and subject matter experts to develop, validate, and update training materialsDevelops detailed training content that includes but is not limited to participant guides, quick reference guides, job aids and guide scenariosManages the job aid creation and posting processWrites elearning scripts for and in conjunction with elearning developerReviews, edits, and guides training materials developed by Training SpecialistsDevelops post implementation/upgrade training optimization plansProactively escalates issues and risks to the Training Manager that cannot be resolved by work groupCoordinates the appropriate level of training for project business unit managers and end-usersTroubleshoots issues and questions from end users including ServiceNow tickets as assignedProvides training and 1:1 support for all phases of the Information Services implementation lifecycle, including training super users, go-live support, training other trainers, and end-user trainingMentors Training Specialists as assignedManages and completes all project tasks and requirements within timelines as assigned by Training ManagerOther duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:
Req Bachelor’s Degree Instructional design, instructional technology, communication, education or a related field.If no Bachelor's Degree, must have High School Diploma with additional 4 years of experience.Req 3-5 years Systems/application training in a healthcare settingReq Experience training business applications such as ServiceNow, Kronos, Lawson, etc. a plusReq Experience writing eLearning scripts a plusReq Significant hands-on experience developing a range of training materials including but not limited to participant guides, job aids, quick reference guidesReq Experience utilizing SnagItReq Competency in both Ambulatory and Inpatient Cerner clinical bundle of applicationsReq Mastery of Microsoft Office suite of applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office, and VisioReq Ability to develop and understand business and clinical application workflowsReq Demonstrated ability to deliver classroom and virtual training using VARK learning principalsReq Demonstrated ability to lead technical and clinical application projects from inception through go-liveReq Demonstrated use of basic project management methodologiesReq Ability to accept accountability for assignments, timeliness, and quality of workReq Excellent communication skills with all levels of hospital staff and amongst team membersReq Proven track record of excellence as a professional

The annual base salary range for this position is $95,680.00 - $158,230.00.
