We have an outstanding Contract position for anIT Walk-Up Technicianto join a leading Company located inLaurel, MD.
Pay Rate: $30.00 - $37.00
** US Citizenship is required.**
**Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.**
**Work is 100% onsite in Laurel, MD**
We are seeking an IT Walk-up Support Technician to help us support the information technology needs of the nation's leading university affiliated research center. You will be working with engineers, scientists and business professionals that are addressing critical challenges of our nation .
Job Responsibilities:
+ Provide onsite, in-person IT support services for customers to include troubleshooting hardware, software, network connectivity, and mobile device issues, and perform account administration tasks in a fast-paced walk-up help desk.
+ Research, analyze, and diagnose problems with client systems using detailed processes where available and best practices where not.
+ Provide appropriate documentation on services provided and status updates as needed.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen
+ Possess an Associate's degree or Bachelor's Degree in a related IT field preferred
+ Must have at least 5 years Tier 2 Enterprise IT Support experience
+ Must be able to obtain DoD Secret clearance
+ Must have a valid Driver's license with clean driving record
+ Must be able to lift up to 40lbs unassisted
+ Have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems for clients to independently resolve widely varying problems using current job knowledge and using research and external resources.
+ Have hardware, software and networking troubleshooting experience
+ H ardware experience must include laptops and mobile devices , software experience includes Windows, Macintosh and Microsoft Office
+ Networking experience to include understanding TCP/IP and DNS, Active Directory and Exchange.
+ Excellent communicator, highly motivated and have excellent customer services skills with the ability to work with all levels of staff.
+ Willing and able to support operations and work necessary hours to complete critical tasks and/or troubleshooting and work in a fast paced walk-up space, in-person with customers.
Desired Qualifications:
+ Possess a Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related field.
+ Possesses enterprise-level experience with Linux, Windows 10, Mac13.2, and/or iOS.
+ Possess certifications: ITIL, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT), HDI Support Analyst.
