Job Description
Job Summary:
Reporting to the IT Workplace L2 Team Lead, the IT Workplace L2 Systems Engineer EUC is responsible for supporting the IT Workplace environment along with other Infrastructure components. This position will act as a support and maintenance point for the overall Workplace product line and any related topics. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Senior Workplace Systems Engineer.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
SCCM administration, support, and maintenance
SCCM deployments (OS build, applications, patch management)
MDM administration, support, and maintenance (Intune and AirWatch)
Licensing services administration
Active Directory administration, support, and maintenance (GPO, DNS, DHCP, PKI, DFS, ADFS and Other Domain Relevant Services)
Unified communications administration, support, and maintenance (Telephony/PBX systems, Video Conferencing, Teams telephony)
Messaging environment administration, support, and maintenance (Hybrid Exchange environment)
Microsoft 365 administration, support, and maintenance (Teams, SharePoint, One drive)
Support for the global printing solution
Create/Maintain and Enhance Team Processes and Documentation.
Support ticket resolution
Perform root cause analysis of critical outage and incidents
Effectively troubleshoot complex technical issues.
EUC (End User Computing) L2 Engineers have a special focus on end users and their End User experience
Participation in an on-call rotation for a 7-day period (10pm – 8am during weekdays and one weekend) should be expected every 6 weeks (about 1 and a half months).
Shift work covering 2pm-10pm shift, during on-call rotation (every 6 weeks).
Qualifications
Deep understanding of Workplace topics.
Experience managing a multinational and multilingual workplace
Ability to document support processes and Knowledge Base Articles.
Expert, high-level knowledge of legacy and emerging technology landscape.
Understanding of key infrastructure technologies and associated architectural considerations.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in information technology
Work Experience:
2 years + working experience in a Workplace administration role.
2 years + in a systems administration role.
Work experience in a large multinational, matrix structured company.
Technical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)
MCSA and/or MCSE
Knowledge of ITIL best practices
SCCM
MDM (Intune and/or AirWatch/SOTI/MobileIron)
Licensing services – KMS, RDS
PowerShell and/or other scripting tools
Printing solutions
Unified Communications
Microsoft 365
General Active Directory administration
ADFS/PKI/Radius/DNS
MS102 – nice to have
Language / Communication Skills:
Excellent English skills.
Any other major European Language preferred but not required.
