Position Overview
The Indirect Procurement Senior Specialist will lead, negotiate, and manage sourcing activities for indirect goods and services in Italy. Collaborating closely with the Head of Indirect Procurement, Manager, and senior stakeholders, this role will identify and evaluate suppliers, build strategic relationships, negotiate favorable terms, and drive continuous improvements in supplier service levels through effective cross-functional leadership and influence.
In partnership with internal stakeholders, the Specialist will work to align procurement strategies with broader business objectives.
The Indirect Procurement Senior Specialist brings expertise across various indirect procurement categories, including IT, Marketing, Fleet, Professional Services, Real Estate, Facilities, and Building & Construction.
Main Accountabilities
Execute effective negotiation process (benchmarking, RFP, response evaluation, negotiations, implementation and contract admin) Partner and build positive relationships, representing Procurement across cross-functional business teams. Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers Track the main KPIs for assigned categories and specific projects Quickly establish credibility and engage and influence others to ensure the most effective and efficient solutions are implemented Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice and methods Ensure professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationshipsExperience Required
> 6 years or above of Procurement/Strategic Sourcing/Category management experience in multicultural and complex environments. Experience of working for a global international company with cross functional relationships and strong focus on procurement Track record of commercial and contractual expertise, paired with analytical thinking, strong initiative and negotiation skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships. Procurement and negotiation background Project Management skills Able to work under pressure Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills Excel/power point is a must Category strategy development knowledge Good English, spoken and written.
