THE ROLE
We currently have an opportunity for a highly driven, analytics-focused focused, and collaborative team player in the Inventory Control/Quality Assurance field to join Thrive Market as an hourly Item Master. This position will be responsible for setting up, validating, and closing the loop on all item data within our WMS and facilities. Additional responsibilities will include item/packaging testing, gatekeeping packing attributes, and collaborating with our HQ continuous improvement team on process improvement and packaging projects.
Employment Type: Full-Time Hourly PositionHourly Commitment: 40 Hours Per WeekSchedule: Monday - Friday, from 7 AM to 3:30 PMHourly Rate: $20 per hourRESPONSIBILITESPerform new item set-up gathering dimensions, weight, case quantities, case dimensions, pallet TI/HI, etcAudit SKU substitutions to ensure that they are set up correctly with dims, SKU, size, variation, etcValidate and audit existing item dataEnter and/or edit the product item master dataAssist in the analysis of collected data. (Qualtrics/MS)Maintain accuracy of all data entry and updatesPerform product drop testing/packaging testing, determining necessary prep for individual productsPartner with IC and IB personnel at multiple sites via Zoom to address dimension and packaging issuesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and maintain dataAssists the Continuous Improvement team to determine optimal packaging conditions to deliver high quality goods to customersMonitor damage rates, provide analysis, and report findings and recommendations for solutions as well as determine when extra packaging may be unnecessaryAudit packing instructions ensuring proper packaging to reduce damage rates and also ensure we are not over-utilizing packagingSeeks out opportunities to improve efficiency involving material handling throughout operationsPartner with and notify business partners of defects and work to implement corrective action plansAffinity for identifying areas of opportunity and process improvementsPartner with the WMS team on building new reports to identify items at high risk of processing or handling defectsWilling to perform other duties, as requestedQUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or GED EquivalentPreferred, 2-year degree in logistics or inventory managementStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to read and interpret documents such as inventory reports, and operating procedures to ensure inventory is audited and accurateAbility to effectively communicate both verbally and writtenMust be able to safely operate all powered equipment (forklift, electric pallet jacks, manlift)Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, and SlackAble to stand and walk for extended periods, frequently reaching with hands and arms, twisting, bending, stooping, squatting, lifting and carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.Experience with hand-held scanners (preferred)Honest with the highest integrityDedicated to quality and high standardsSupportive of values following policies and proceduresPositive, ambitious, energetic, hardworking with a strong work ethicA team player with exceptional communication who is well-organized and has an eye for detailBELONG TO A BETTER COMPANYComprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, and disability)Competitive pay + equityOpportunities for advancement.
