Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Production Deliver Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located at on-site at Schriever Space Force Base just outside of Colorado Springs, CO. Relocation assistance is not available.

Position Overview:

  

As part of the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) the Threat Products and Services (TPS) team offers opportunities to support the U.S. Missile Defense System through the development of Modeling and Simulation applications, Threat Models, Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Ground Tests and Exercise requirements, and Threat Data used in MDA Ground Tests and Exercises. The selected Production Delivery Project Manager will support the Integrated Threat Package (ITP) data production team as part of TPS.  The Delivery Project Manager will function primarily as in a Lean-Agile Kanban capacity for a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Kanban Team, with Project Management skills utilized for the products that the SAFe Kanban Team creates.

Primary responsibilities include:

Driving day-to-day execution to meet schedule commitments.Facilitating SAFe ceremonies.Evaluating team capacity to meet requested product deliveries.Working with agile team to report weekly status, issues, and release plan updates.Ensuring improvement items are tracked and implemented.Performing metrics identification, tracking and reporting, consistent with the program metrics plan.

Additional responsibilities include:

Disseminating information down to the teamProviding team status to other teamsCollaborating with the SAFe Product Owner and Product Manager to ensure the project backlog is well maintained, and that the team is fully functional and productive.Communicating dependencies, blockers, issues, etc. to the SAFe Release Train Engineer and Government StakeholdersThe selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s Degree and 3 years of related experience, or PhD and 1 year of related experience.An active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret SCI Clearance.Experience with managing and coordinating complex deliveries.Experience in Agile methodologies including Lean,, and Kanban. Experience with Agile tools, the Atlassian Suite, and Microsoft products.Ability to prioritize, execute, and delegate tasks in a high-pressure, dynamic environment.Must have strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and customer personnel.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environmentUnderstanding of the software development lifecycleExperience with Project Management Knowledge or experience in several of the following: missile defense domain knowledge, infrared space surveillance, and modeling and simulation development.An active DoD Top-Secret SCI Clearance.

Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
