We are seeking an ITS / Traffic Technical Manager to join our team in Henderson, NV, to lead and work with our team on various ITS and Traffic Engineering projects.

About you:

In this Senior Management role, you will apply technical expertise and project management experience to manage and support ITS and Traffic projects on a variety of transportation projects.  An important part of your role is to collaborate with colleagues in other disciplines, and different job functions, with the goal of winning work and delivering work. You will also have the opportunity to be a mentor to assist junior staff in their training and development as they work on projects together.

How your experience will contribute to the team:

Staff Administration: Keep Technical Managers and Directors informed by identifying current and future staffing availability based on technical and budgetary requirements of future workload and manpower projections. Recommends salary and position adjustment actions for staff, subject to senior management review and approval. Conducts semi-annual performance reviews and annual career planning sessions with direct reports. Provides staff with ongoing performance feedback and counsel to promote improved performance and career development. Helps staff identify and pursue technical and professional development activities consistent with their career development goals and work unit objectives/company needs. Ensures staff compliance with company policies and procedures.Project Production and Management: Your work on projects includes the typical functions of production coordination, planning, organizing, directing, marketing assistance, and financial management. Monitors and enforces compliance with established quality control standards, ensuring that appropriate quality assurance activities are being performed throughout the group.Technical Excellence: Maintains visibility and professional currency by actively participating in professional and civic organizations and encourages staff to do the same. Works with Practice and Technical Directors to design and implement development tracks for technical staff, with a focus on building technical excellence at all levels of the organization.Marketing and Client Maintenance: May participate in pursuing new project opportunities for firm by maintaining contacts with current and prospective clients.Contracts and Financial: May assist sales leads and project managers to staff new pursuits and contract negotiations. Ensures purchase requests for capital items are routed as specified in the Authorization Matrix.Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.Experience with ITS Architectures & Systems Engineering Process.Data and Video Communications Networks and Systems Design, Including Fiber and Wireless Systems.Experience with Design, Deployment & Operation of ITS Technologies.Management experience on transportation projects with major ITS work from concept development through PS&E phase.Experience with the management of transportation projects from Preliminary Design/Engineering phase through the completion of Construction within last 15 years. Including maintaining Project's Budget, Schedule, Scope and Quality Management and should have been directly responsible for budget, schedule and delivery of Design Documents/ Study Reports. Experience in Project's Public Outreach.Experience in project(s) should have included: Traffic Signal/Safety/ITS Engineering; Utility Relocation and Electrical Design a plus.

Role Requirements:

BS and/or MS in Engineering.Nevada PE License within 6 months of hire.At least 7yrs experience since B.S, with at least 3 years of this in a project manager or supervisor role.Must have highway/roadway design and project management experience.Nevada ITS experience.Excellent technical and interpersonal skills.Strong project financial management and team management skills.
