Summary This job opportunity is for an ITSPEC (CUSTSPT), position description D2180P01, within the 177th Fighter Wing of the New Jersey National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position. The purpose of this position is to serve as an IT specialist performing evaluative duties related to computer networks and coordinating all IT systems production activities. Responsibilities As an ITSPEC (CUSTSPT), GS-2210-11, you will: Install and configure workstation or network operating systems Provide solutions to customer requests resolving hardware and software problems Install and maintain hardware devices supporting information and operating systems Perform intensive collection and analysis of data from the customer service database Research trends and patterns to implement new or improved communications procedures Assessing and determining actual problems and resolves or assigns unresolved requests Requirements Conditions of Employment Area of Consideration: CAT 1: All permanent, Indefinite on-board, Title 32 Employees within 177TH COMM. (Guidance established by NJ HRO-J1) Qualifications General Experience: Do you have experience in the following: Data processing functions Computer operator, computer assistant, or program analyst General management principles that understand the stages of automate a work process Specialized Experience: Must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training in the following: Analysis of the interrelationship of pertinent components of the system Plan the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment Schedule the sequence of programs to be processed by computers - Knowledge of the Privacy Act of 1974 - Skill in planning Privacy Act training for organization employees - Ability to review and coordinate publications generated to ensure they adhere to Privacy Act requirements and standards. - Ability to create, manage, and troubleshoot Microsoft SharePoint Education Must be DoD8570 Security+ certified Additional Information Security Clearance Must have a Secret Security Clearance prior to start date of appointment (attach proof of clearance type) If you are a male applicant who was born after 12/31/1959 and are required to register under the Military Selective Service Act, the Defense Authorization Act of 1986 requires that you be registered or you are not eligible for appointment in this agency (https://www.sss.gov/RegVer/wfRegistration.aspx).
