ITW Welding Regional Sales Manager - Western Great Lakes
**Job Description:** We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven leader to join our North American Sales team as the **Regional Sales Manager** for the Western Great Lakes region (Wisconsin, Illinois). In this key leadership role, you will lead and coach a team of nine sales professionals, driving profitability and sales growth across our portfolio of renowned brands, including Miller, Hobart, Tregaskiss, and Bernard. Your focus will be on empowering your team, executing strategic sales initiatives, and fostering strong partnerships with key end-user accounts and distributor partners to meet the evolving needs of the market. As a key leader within the organization, you will embrace and demonstrate our core leadership principles: leveraging the business model effectively, making strategic choices, achieving outstanding results, developing great talent, and providing strong leadership. **What You Will Do & Impact:** **Leadership & Strategy** + Energize and align your team with the North American sales strategy by clearly communicating the vision, mission, and goals. + Drive accountability and strategy execution in the field, leading by example with collaborative and results-focused leadership. + Embody our company’s culture and values through your words, actions, and influence. **Team Development** + Cultivate a high-performing sales team through regular coaching, one-on-one development discussions, and field support. + Identify and develop high-potential talent, fostering a diverse and inclusive team that contributes to a competitive advantage. + Lead efforts to recruit, hire, and retain top talent, ensuring a strong talent pipeline. **Channel & Customer Engagement** + Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributor partners, ensuring we remain their preferred partner. + Implement and enhance channel programs that demonstrate the value we deliver to partners and customers. + Drive engagement with key end-user accounts, developing relationships with decision-makers to influence preferences for our solutions. **Profitability & Market Growth** + Utilize market and sales data to ensure your team consistently achieves profitable growth that exceeds market trends. + Collaborate with divisional leadership to align resources and strategies with regional opportunities. + Guide your team in the use of our sales tools and methodologies, ensuring focus on activities that provide the greatest value to customers and the organization. **Minimum Education and Experience:** + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. + 5+ years of professional experience in sales, sales management, or a similar role, ideally in industrial, manufacturing, or technical product markets. + Overnight travel up to 50% & ability to drive company vehicle with a valid driver’s license to execute responsibilities required. **What you need to do to be successful in this role:** + Proven leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams. + Strong understanding of business dynamics in the welding or similar market, particularly with distribution-based sales. + Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers and drive strategic change. + Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and thrive in a matrixed organizational structure. + Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce/Dynamics 365). **Why Join Us?** Miller® is about building things that matter. This estimated salary range of $134,000 to $165,000 is dependent on the geographic location, the successful candidate’s qualification, and prior experience. We are committed to maintaining equitable and competitive salaries across different regions through regular reviews and adjustments.​ ​ **_Sales Compensation & Bonus Plan_** : Employees in this role are eligible to participate in the Regional Sales Manager compensation plan, which includes performance-based quarterly bonuses, allowing employees to increase their earnings through exceptional performance.
