Target Comp: $22-28/hr
Under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, the IV Pharmacy Technician is responsible for filling IV orders including the calculation and compounding of IV admixtures according to prescription orders following Pharmacy policies, regulations, and procedures.

Essential job functions (include the following):
• Under the supervision of Registered Pharmacist, accurately prepare IV orders to include mixing, measuring and calculating doses using proper sterile compounding techniques.
• Create and process IV orders using the pharmacy software system.
• Prepare labels, prescription, compounding/mixing worksheets and completes and maintains product lot numbers and expiration dates.
• Maintain packaging equipment for calibration, safety and cleanliness.
• Maintain and review policies and procedures to ensure room procedures, practices and activities are compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with inspectors to complete regulatory compliance inspections.
• Participate in annual compliance audit.
• Participate in the orientation and training of new IV pharmacy technicians.
• Maintain accurate inventory through placing orders, receiving, stocking, pulling, counting and tracking drug items in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Consistently meet pharmacy's established accuracy and productivity levels.
• Work collaboratively with other supervisors/functional areas to keep work flowing smoothly and efficiently.
• Maintain clean and orderly workstation. Put medications away and replenish all stock supplies needed.
• Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies pertaining to the dispensing of prescription medications.
• Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed
Education and/or Certifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements), required
Skills and Qualifications:
•Minimum of one (1) year working as an IV pharmacy technician required
• Proficient in computer applications related to department operations and job function.
• Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
• Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
• Great attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
• Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate
• Working knowledge of Medical Terminology required
• Strong knowledge of brand/generic drugs preferred
