We are currently seeking a IV&V Business Analyst to join our team in Portland, Oregon (US-OR), United States (US).
Overview of job:
The Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) Business Analyst (BA) will work as part of a team providing IV&V services for state IT projects. The IV&V BA will actively participate in the delivery of IV&V tasks/activities and associated deliverables.
The IV&V BA, as part of a team, will perform business and technical analyses of the overall client project including vendor solutions to ensure that the solution meets client expectations, review and conduct formal assessments of vendor deliverables and test results. In addition, the IV&V BA will collaborate with other members of the team to generate project milestones and/or reports which are mandated.
Job Responsibilities Include:
The IV&V BA will actively participate in the delivery of tasks/activities and associated deliverables, providing support for the team while developing the skills necessary to advance along the business and IT consulting career path. In collaboration with other NTT DATA Government Consulting and Advisory (GCA) consultants, the selected candidate will work as part of the project team to support the development of IV&V deliverables and work products to help the client achieve organizational goals. Other responsibilities of this position include:
Assess whether user involvement and buy-in is sufficient for successful adoption of the system or component
Review and assess all project documents and plans for quality, completeness, compliance, and effectiveness
Review major deliverables and work products from vendors
Evaluate feasibility of project schedule
Assess and make recommendations on the management and technical aspects of project implementations
Assist in the business and technical assessments of project deliverables including DDI Contractor deliverables such as Project Management Plan and Schedule, Requirements Validation documents, Detailed System Design documents, Data Conversion Plans, Testing Plans and associated results, User Documentation, Training Plans, Implementation Strategies, Implementation and Rollout Plans, and Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Plans
Assess whether the State and DDI Contractor share a common understanding of the project scope, goals/outcomes/requirements, deliverables, and milestones
Verify and assess vendor compliance with project level requirements.
Make recommendations for improvement of processes based on observations, industry standards, and best practices
Assist project manager in producing progress and status reports
Assist project manager in production of project reports for senior NTT DATA Services – GCA management
Provide oversight and support for all phases of the project ensuring conformance to industry best practices e.g., IEEE , PMBOK
Identify and report project issues and risks
Attend project and status meetings
Interface with client, vendors, and business users
Research and provide recommendations to the client on critical business decisions
Collaborate with other team members to provide subject matter expertise and assistance as applicable
Ensure that all project identified processes and methodologies are executed and followed as applicable
Perform periodic assessment activities with focus on requirements traceability and testing
Assess and validate testing methods employed by vendors and the client’s project teams
Assess the coverage and integrity of testing
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 6 years relevant experience in Business Analyst role/capacity providing services on a large scale, modular business and technology modernization project
Minimum 4 years’ experience with Government agencies and programs
Minimum 2 years’ experience with Independent Verification and Validation services
Undergraduate degree or 4 years equivalent combination of education and work experience
Additional agile training, experience, or qualifications
PMP
Preferred Skills:
Oversight/QA/ IV&V report writing experience
High level of attention to detail / quality
10+ years experience with state IT projects
Experience with Federal systems certification
SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) experience
Knowledge of industry standards, PMI, CMMI, NIST, and IEEE
Ability to apply industry best practices and future state/federal mandates to existing systems
Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $79,920- $145,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
