Field Service IVVI Engineer

 Duties and Responsibilities (in the order of priority):

Your Day to Day:

Provide technical leadership and project oversight during preparations and delivery of IVVI solutions that ensure high quality results in accordance with our customer expectations. Direct Level II visual examiners during outage activities Prepare outage IVVI scope and final reports of examinations Interface with our customers and support industry meeting as required Prepare outage visual scope and schedule examinations in accordance with in-vessel windows Support industry meetings as required in support of maintaining competitive edge for the visual inspection market Prepare final IVVI project reports Develop and implement field use and maintenance procedures, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA’s) and rigor for associated network systems and devices. Support specific projects including planning, implementing and financial reporting to the business. Support specific field project delivery teams in operation and maintenance of systems at customer sites as well as maintenance facilities. Travel 40-60% of time to both domestic and international sites. Grow to become an IVVI LVIII by gaining experience in ASME code and BWRVIP Guidelines as well as project experience.

 

Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies: 

What you need to be successful in this role: 

Bachelors Degree Engineering or related NDE field 0-15 years related experience Proficient in procedure and training technical writing Demonstrated competencies in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) Certifiable in NDE disciplines, MT, PT, UT, and VT Knowledge and experience with NDE methods (preferred) Knowledge and experience with BWRVIP (preferred) Knowledge of BWR reactor internal components (preferred) Ability to work without management oversight, (self starter). Work in a team atmosphere and interface well with internal and external customers. Ability to obtain/maintain Unescorted Site Access including drug screening processes. Flexibility to work in dynamic work environment with changing issues and customer demands. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning Able to work in periodic high heat environments, able to lift 50+ lbs and work on feet for extended periods of time.
