Business Transformation Office (BTO) – Regulatory drives and executes critical regulatory change initiatives that create tangible value for clients and advisors in the $6B+ revenue Wealth Management (WM) business. Our transformation programs are sponsored by C-suite executives and span growth, regulatory, and location strategy. The team works cross-functionally with Senior Management, Front Office Advisors, Product Specialists, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Technology, and Supervision to implement complex, transformational change. 

BTO Regulatory team are value adding partners on how to comply and is responsible for driving the end to end development of solutions, ultimately becoming experts in the rule and the business model. The team provides ongoing support post implementation and builds on the knowledge gained to continue to drive improvements, respond to industry changes as well as feedback from auditors, regulators, and the business.

 As the Associate Project Manager, you will work as part of a team on programs that impact our clients’ experiences and perceptions of the firm. You will be responsible for end-to-end delivery across the project life cycle and accountable to senior management for comprehensive program updates. possess strengths in project management, problem resolution, effective communication, product knowledge, and marketing. You must be flexible and have the ability to quickly adapt within a dynamic environment.

Job responsibilities

Drive the delivery of major regulatory and controls initiatives in partnership with the Front Office, Product Solutions, Marketing, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Finance and Technology design and implement the compliance strategy by analyzing the obligations in the context of existing business operating models (e.g. organizational structures, governance, processes, controls, and technology tools) establish and manage robust governance to ensure ongoing business and controls-partner engagement, as well as approvals via relevant controls committees Engage relevant product and business stakeholders to own changes required as part of the compliance strategy guide and influence stakeholders towards strategic decision-making embrace ambiguity and adapt to shifting priorities Support, specific workstreams within individual programs and assist in the development and deployment of the strategic operating model of your assigned program Support key workstream meetings or working groups with functional stakeholders Develop  materials required for workstreams, including, but not limited to: operating model, processes, procedures, meetings agendas, notes and materials, analysis, and decision templates Contribute to the design and implementation of full operating models (e.g., organizational structures, governance, detailed processes, controls, and technology tools), with specific focus on meeting or exceeding the regulatory obligation while building a sustainable process post implementation Support driving highly skilled teams through project lifecycles and governance tollgates by leveraging approaches in process re-engineering, organizational design, program and change management, as well as internal and client communication or training

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Create clear and concise materials to support workstream deliverables Analyze data and processes to understand current state Develop detailed operating model for business changes Demonstrate understanding of client and advisor wealth management processes (front and back office) Organize information and tasks, prioritize appropriately Support end-to-end implementation projects including assessment, planning, project management, execution and evaluation Work autonomously, demonstrate self‐motivation, and accountability   Create and deliver compelling presentations for senior leadership Forge relationships and build a network throughout the firm Maintain a positive attitude and act as team player while delivering on high priority, time sensitive initiatives

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Bachelor’s degree Minimum of 3  years of experience in project management, strategic consulting, management consulting, process improvement Demonstrated experience working on large scale, complex projects (planning, designing, documenting, communicating) Financial services/business consultancy background, preferably in Wealth Management Familiarity with end-to-end bank infrastructure, including advisors, client service, product, technology, operations, and controls Experience working on compliance, control, legal initiatives preferred Demonstrated ability to be an integral team member on large-scale, complex programs (planning, designing, documenting, communicating) Exposure to end-to-end bank infrastructure, including advisors, client service, product, technology, operations and controls Strong slide deck, communication and reporting skills (Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Visio; Tableau, Python, etc. )
