Position Purpose:
Join our dedicated team at Beaven Kelly Home, where you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. As a Janitor, your work ensures the facility operates in an orderly and sanitary condition, supporting the overall mission and values of our community.
What You Will Do:
Clean and service facility areas, including mopping, stripping, and buffing floors, and shampooing carpets.
Sanitize bathrooms, sinks, tubs, toilets, mirrors, and other fixtures.
Remove trash from designated areas, maintain outdoor spaces, and clear snow and ice during winter.
Perform heavy-duty cleaning tasks such as washing walls, windows, and furniture.
Move furniture and equipment as needed using handcarts or dollies.
Assist with housekeeping and laundry duties as required.
Maintain cleaning equipment and report repairs when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to read, write, and understand English.
6–12 months of related experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.
Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks involving stooping, bending, and climbing.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
