Scaled Composites is seeking a Janitor to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The Janitor will perform cleaning duties for various buildings throughout the organization and complete other miscellaneous duties as assigned which fall under a reasonable scope of responsibility. The Janitor may be required to operate company vehicles and equipment to perform regular tasks. This person will report to the Janitorial Lead.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Cleaning office spaces, furniture, stairs, windows, windowsills, break rooms, restrooms, floors, shop areas, and other common areas as assignedEmptying, re-lining and cleaning all trash receptacles as necessaryOrganizing and maintaining supply closets and tools as necessaryWill work with chemicals, tools and machinery according to Scaled’s safety standardsRepetitive cleaning and sanitizing all high touch surfaces and areasRestocking supplies and consumables, making coffee and sanitizing coffee stationsMaintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas

Good communication, interpersonal and customer service skillsAbility to follow oral and written instructions and read/understand MSDSAbility to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a timely mannerAbility to work effectively with a team as well as work independently as neededBasic knowledge of cleaning products and willingness to learn new products and processesAbility to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as instructed and/or outlined in MSDS

Occasional lifting 50+ lbs.Must have sufficient agility to work in the interior of an aircraft structure. Will need to bend, stoop, squat, and/or kneel to occasionally work in cramped, tiring, and uncomfortable positionsAbility to work overhead for prolonged periods of time including lifting up to 10-15 poundsStanding 95% of the day, sometimes 8.5 – 12 hours per dayRequired to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment for an assigned taskWork with composite materials such as epoxy resin systems, fiberglass, carbon fiber, and foam/core products.
