Job Overview:

 

As the Janitorial Technician at Bodega Harbour on our Janitorial & Maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our properties’ community amenities and facilities. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring these spaces are clean and well-maintained, with some minor maintenance work involved. You will be a vital part of our team, contributing to the overall well-being and satisfaction of our community members.

Compensation: $22-23/hour

 

FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

 

Your Responsibilities:

Clean all Clubhouse Areas and Proshop Stocks restrooms with supplies Empties wastebaskets and ashtrays Wipes all windowsills, walls and light switches Vacuums rooms and hallways Dusts all furniture and fixtures Checks lamps for burned out light bulbs Wipes mirrors and windows Checks heating/air conditioning unit for proper operation Cleans and sanitizes bathroom including toilets, tiles, tub, sauna, shower walls and curtains, sink and fixtures Clean and maintain equipment in the Gym. Pool maintenance Clean and maintain playing courts Clean and maintain facilities around the clubhouse including parking lot, landscape and proshop building. Washes, dries and folds laundry Visually inspect all work areas Perform other duties as appropriate.

Skills & Qualifications:

Able to communicate in English Give and/or follow verbal and written instructions

Education & Experience:

1 year applicable custodial/maintenance experience Demonstrated quality interpersonal communication skills. Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends. Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.

Physical Requirements and Working Environment:

Communicate verbally with staff members with or without the use of two-way radios. Retrieve, read and interpret information from technical sources. Stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, bend and kneel for up to 5 hours at a time. Lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally, 50 lbs. frequently, and 20 lbs. constantly Work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends.

Work hours 6am-2:30 pm Thursday to Monday. Occasionally may be required to work evenings.  Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions.  May be exposed to inclement weather, potentially dangerous chemicals, solvents, pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers, sharp and rapid equipment movement on a daily basis. Injury may result as a result of exposure to the above if safety policies and practices are not properly followed.


Tools & Equipment Used:

Operate vehicles and equipment for several hours at a time.
