**Job Title: Janitor** **Job Description** We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented janitors to join our team. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various campus buildings, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. **Responsibilities** + Clean, sweep, vacuum, and polish floors using various tools and equipment. + Use hand and power scrubbing and polishing equipment, vacuum cleaners, commercial buffers, brooms, dust brushes, dust pans, wet and dry mops, and other cleaning materials. + Clean designated areas with the required cleaners and disinfecting solutions. + Clean walls, windows, window blinds and shades, ceilings, and doors, occasionally working from ladders or scaffolding. + Replenish towels, soap, toilet tissue, linen, and other supplies as required. + Inspect the exterior and interior of the building for service issues and report damages, malfunctions, and needed repairs to the supervisor. + Remove trash from assigned areas, move furniture, equipment, supplies, and recyclable materials. + Maintain separation of recyclable materials and transport biohazard containers to designated areas. + Remove snow, ice, and debris from building entrances, sidewalks, and other areas as required. + Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly condition. **Essential Skills** + Experience in janitorial, cleaning, and housekeeping. + Ability to sanitize, disinfect, dust, sweep, and clean carpets. + Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. + Ability to read labels on cleaning and detergent materials and disinfecting solutions. + Ability to operate large powered vacuum cleaners, cleaning, and buffing equipment. + Ability to interact and work respectfully and courteously with faculty, students, staff, and visitors. + Ability to lift, carry, or move objects and materials weighing up to 50 lbs. + Ability to stand, walk, and move about campus on a continuous basis. + Ability to ascend and descend stairs regularly to clean them. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Driver's License. **Why Work Here?** After a 90-day contract period, you will have the opportunity to be brought on full-time and receive comprehensive benefits.
