Job Title: Janitorial Worker
Job Description

As a Janitorial Worker, you will be assigned to a specific floor and provided with a checklist of cleaning duties. These duties include cleaning public restrooms, washing sinks and counters, emptying garbage, refilling supplies, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, stripping linens from beds, and pushing them to the laundry chute. You will also be responsible for making beds and other tasks as required. When cleaning patient-occupied rooms, you will follow a conversation script to introduce yourself, inform patients that you will be cleaning their room, and ask if they need anything additional. If a patient needs something, you will convey the request to a nurse or doctor. You will also leave a card with your name and phone number for the EVS department with the patient.

Work Environment

You will work throughout the Providence Portland Medical Center, primarily in the lower level of the hospital and on hospital floors cleaning patient rooms. You must be comfortable communicating with patients and entering their rooms. Evening shifts require reliable transportation as public transit may not be available.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seaside, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.26/hr.
