**Description**
**Janitorial Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities**
Janitorial Supervisors oversee and coordinate the work of janitorial staff to ensure a clean and orderly environment in buildings.
They also handle administrative tasks and may conduct training for new staff.
The duties and responsibilities of a Janitorial Supervisor include:
+ Directing and supervising the cleaning, maintenance, and repair activities of janitorial staff
+ Inspecting work performed to ensure conformance to specifications and established standards
+ Training staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and the use of cleaning equipment and chemicals
+ Creating and maintaining cleaning schedules and routines
+ Ordering and maintaining an inventory of janitorial supplies and equipment
+ Handling and resolving complaints or issues regarding janitorial services
+ Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new janitorial staff
+ Conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback to janitorial staff
+ Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
+ Maintaining records of janitorial services performed and preparing reports for management

**Responsibilities**
+ Assign tasks and duties to janitorial team members
+ Monitor team performance and provide guidance and feedback
+ Inspect premises regularly to ensure tasks are properly completed
+ Respond to any janitorial emergencies
+ Manage cleaning supplies stock, placing orders when necessary
+ Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
+ Train team members in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
+ Address any complaints or issues in a timely and effective manner
+ Prepare and present performance reports
**Qualifications**
+ Proven work experience as a janitorial supervisor or similar role
+ Knowledge of cleaning procedures and machinery
+ Understanding of health and safety regulations
+ Excellent leadership and organizational skills
+ Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
+ High school diploma is a plus
