Java Developer – TS/SCI with Poly
This high-performing team of software developers, software engineers, and systems engineers is developing and enhancing the geolocation infrastructure supporting the warfighter. This team does much more than software development. They modernize legacy capabilities, integrate products, implement automation efficiencies, and support operational systems. They challenge their team members to think outside the box for innovative solutions and help each other grow their skills. **Responsibilities:** + Software development of new or enhancement of existing capabilities predominately using Java + Java development for new or existing applications + Provide Tier III Support for deployed capabilities and address bug fixes + Test and debug software code for network connected systems + Perform integration and testing as needed + Collaborate with a team of Software and Systems Engineers in an agile environment to analyze requirements, derive user stories, track issues, and create user documentation + Provide status and update tickets **Requirements:** + Experience with Java development + Experience with JMS + Database experience such as Mongo or MySQL + Experience developing scalable solutions, applicable to both large- and small-scale platforms + Experience working on teams of software developers and integrators **Clearance Required:** + Active TS/SCI with Poly **Minimum Education:** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. **Minimum Years of Experience:** + Four (4) years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree **Preferred:** + Experience with containers (i.e., Docker and/or Kubernetes) + Experience with Java development IDEs (e.g. IntelliJ, Eclipse) + Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) + Experience with Git and/or Gitlab, and Gitlab CI/CD + Experience with Gradle + Knowledge of ActiveMQ \#javelin Pay Transparency Verbiage Amentum’s health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you and in the things you care about. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
