Senior Developer for Norwich-based market leading agri-business.

Role Purpose

As a Senior Developer you will work in the Software team on a new farm management system.

Your role will be to design and develop both front-end and back-end software solutions using a range of technologies.

This is initially a Java development role but you will likely be required to work with .NET and Angular. Full training to transition to new technologies will be provided.

You will also play a key role liaising with other team members, both technical and commercial, with the possibility of leadership opportunities.

Role and Responsibilities

Server side API development using Java, REST, unit tests and MY SQL

UI web development with JavaScript and CSS

Actively participate in all aspects of the agile Scrum process

Skill, Knowledge and Experience

Proactive with a positive attitude.

Mentoring or team leadership experience would be ideal.

Solid Java development experience ideally with JEE, Spring, Hibernate, Primefaces, Maven, any relational database.

Exposure to .NET and a front-end framework such as Angular as advantage but not essential.

Understanding and experience of agile software development methodologies.

Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).

Qualifications and Experience

Computing Science degree or equivalent experience.
