Java Developer
Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Java Developer with expertise in AWS, Microservices, and Spring Boot, based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will contribute to the creation, management, and operation of a diverse set of Dev-Ops-related tools, processes, paradigms, and technologies. This role will also involve working closely with architects, technical product managers, and other team members to translate overall system architecture and product requirements into well-designed, implemented, and tested software solutions. Responsibilities: • Collaborate in defining methodologies and ways of working that promote efficient and scalable microservice-based platform architectures. • Develop cloud-based services and platforms with a proven track record in AWS and other cloud technologies. • Contribute to the management of the running IoT Platform system architecture, troubleshooting issues, and identifying areas for continuous improvement. • Define common frameworks and software libraries in various programming languages that support the creation of efficient, scalable, and highly available microservice-based architectures. • Work closely with architects and technical product managers to translate overall system architecture and product requirements into well-designed, implemented, and tested software solutions. • Promote the adoption of best-in-class software engineering practices, frameworks, and tools, providing guidance and feedback to other software developers. • Work in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality software in an incremental manner. • Support with the management of the running IoT Platform system architecture, focusing on quality, performance, and security. Requirements • Proven experience in Java Development along with AWS, Microservices, and Spring Boot. • Solid understanding of Agile Scrum methodology. • Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, Go, and Node.js. • Experience in Cloud Technologies, particularly AWS Technologies. • Knowledge of API Development and Network Security. • Familiarity with monitoring tools and their application. • Understanding and application of engineering best practices. • Proficiency in software engineering practices. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively. • Familiarity with workstation support and security measures. • Strong quality audit skills. • Knowledge of Service Level Agreements and their implementation. • Degree in Computer Sciences or related field is preferred. • Ability to adhere to framework and methodology in development practices.
