This position requires expertise in agile methodologies and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic military healthcare environment.   Arlluk Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our team supporting the Defense Health Agency. The ideal candidate will have strong Java programming skills and experience in developing robust, scalable applications for complex healthcare systems. This role is crucial in building and maintaining critical MHS applications that support military healthcare operations.   Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to: The Java Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications within the MHS ecosystem. Key responsibilities include: Develop and maintain Java applications using Java EE technologies and frameworks. Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure software solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for new features and enhancements. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards. Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues. Integrate Java applications with various databases, APIs, and third-party systems. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment. Implement automated unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability. Contribute to technical documentation, including design specifications and user manuals. Stay current with emerging Java technologies and best practices, recommending improvements as appropriate. Collaborate with DevOps teams to support continuous integration and deployment processes.
