Position 2: Java Developer
Job Description:-
Java Developer with extensive experience on enterprise solutions. The Candidate should be able to demonstrate experience of providing direction to a team while implementing large scale Service Oriented Architectures. The candidate must have strong solution design skills and the ability to document, communicate, and implement the designs patterns they utilize. The candidate must have the ability to write technical white papers and document the design of proposed and new system, as well as reverse engineering existing systems.
The candidate must possess strong oral and written communications skills in order to clearly and effectively convey issues, reports, and other deliverables.
The candidate shall have extensive experience in developing, maintaining, and supporting applications and computer/network operating system and other system software. Has prime accountability for major projects and will develop detailed and robust requirements, code, test, and implement proposed systems. Must demonstrate hands-on experience with projects supporting Service Oriented Architecture principles. Works without technical oversight or as the leader of a team as required.
Required Skills:
Strong core Java developer having experience with JEE technologies, JSP, EJB, JDBC, JMS and WebSphere.
Experience with J2EE Framework/ORM such as Struts version v2, JPA v2, IBM MQ and have experience in developing frameworks.
Database experience such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, SQL and JDBC. Experience with WebServices Technologies, Security and SSL.
Strong XML processing experience such as XSD, XPath, XSL, XSLT and Experience with JavaScript, HTML.
Desired Skills
Have experience with WebSphere on Z/OS mainframe platform is a plus.
Experience with complex programming, program debugging, data analysis, problem analysis and resolution issues within OO application systems.
Communication skills to present ideas and concepts effectively; strong and proven problem solving.

Familiarity with project management frameworks.
Experience with Messaging - IBM MQ.
Experience with UNIX operating system such as Sun Solaris.
Self-starter, highly motivated individual, and a team player who adapts to a dynamic work environment.

Experience with version control software such as MKS and CSS.
Familiar with Web Service technologies such as Apache Axis, SOAP and WSDL.

Familiar with MS Project and Visio.Minimum experience and education: Candidates with a BS degree must have the minimum of 11 years or 132 months of work experience specific to the job description.
If a candidate has a Master’s degree, they still need a minimum of 11 years or 132 months of work experience but only nine years or 108 months of experience specific to the job. The other work experience to meet the 132 months does not have to be IT related.
Work experience while in college can be counted toward the overall years.
If no degree, work experience may be substituted.
Background clearance: All candidates selected will have to go through a Federal government background check prior to being able to start. Generally, the background process takes between 3,4 or 5 weeks. The time is dependent on how quickly the candidate is able to complete the paperwork.
Candidates will obtain a Public Trust clearance upon approval.
