The Programmer is responsible for analysis, design, coding, component and assembly testing of all application code owned by the Application Team. Involved in development work, with occasional enhancements and maintenance (including production support).
Complete Description:
Position Description: The position serves as a senior Java applications developer for Java solutions within the Bureau of Business Solutions & Services. The candidate responsibilities will include gathering and refining technical requirements, interfacing with the User community, providing new development support, and providing maintenance and application support including troubleshooting and best practices.
Specific Duties:
1. Follow the full Application Development Life Cycle for Java projects and initiatives.
2. Provide development enhancements and troubleshooting support for Java projects.
3. Understand and follow best practices of enterprise level Client/Server Java applications.
4. Perform data analysis on Java system database structures for new development purposes.
