As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Bank you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions using innovative approaches to solve technical problems and build robust solutions. Create secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems. Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development. Gather analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems. Proactively identifies hidden problems, patterns in data, and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture. Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies. Add to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience Extensive hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability. Proficient in Java/J2EE, REST APIs, and Web Services, with a strong background in developing event-driven micro services and Kafka streaming. Skilled in using Spring Boot, Java Framework, and AWS cloud services. Experienced in creating standard unit testing frameworks, debugging, and maintaining code in large corporate environments using one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages. Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Experience in Java, RESTful APIs, SpringBoot, AWS, Postgres, Kafka Proficiency in design patterns, java frameworks and Java profiling Experience in toolsets like Blazemeter, GIT/BitBucket, Maven, Terraform Familiarity with payment processing, gateways, and financial transaction systems.
