Job Title: Java Software Developer - SATCOM Ground Station
Job Description

This position focuses on back-end software development for a SATCOM ground station display, utilizing Java and Spring Boot. The role involves enhancing the resilience and cost-effectiveness of the GSCCE system, which manages and controls the Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) satellites. The system supports the U.S. Air Force's Space Enterprise Vision (SEV) and Enterprise Ground Services (EGS) initiatives.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop back-end software solutions using Java and Spring Boot for SATCOM ground station displays.Work collaboratively with Systems Engineers to meet work requirements.Conduct demonstrations and verifications to ensure software meets specified criteria.Implement Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.Utilize Gitlab for version control and Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment.Manage project tasks and documentation using Jira and Confluence.Maintain a high level of attention to detail and process orientation.Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.Essential SkillsProficiency in Java and Spring Boot.Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).Familiarity with Gitlab, Jenkins, and Maven.Experience with Agile methodologies and RESTful services.Strong integration testing skills.Experience with Jira and Confluence.Active Secret clearance.Experience in the DoD domain.Additional Skills & QualificationsProcess-oriented mindset.Exceptional attention to detail.Ability to hold others accountable.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Experience with SATCOM/Satellite systems.Work Environment

This position is onsite at the facility on Wooten Rd, with a planned move to a new location in Colorado Springs in the next several months.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $90.00
