Job Summary
We are seeking a Technical Lead with 7 to 11 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SOAP Springboot Microservices DBMS & SQL CSS HTML 5 Java Script React. Programming J2EE Java and Core Java. Experience in Life and Annuities Insurance is a plus. This hybrid role requires strong technical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a day shift environment.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of high-quality software solutions using SOAP, Springboot, Microservices and Java technologies.
Be responsible for the implementation of database management systems and SQL queries to ensure data integrity and performance.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to cultivate a collaborative and productive team environment.
Develop and maintain front-end applications using CSS, HTML 5, and Java Script Programming to improve user experience.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture and analyze requirements ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Implement best practices for software development including code reviews testing and documentation.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to maintain system reliability and performance.
Ensure the scalability and security of applications through effective design and architecture.
Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools to increase efficiency and quality.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within the team.
Engage with customers to relay project updates and gather valuable feedback.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all technical activities.
Qualifications
Possess strong expertise in SOAP Springboot Microservices DBMS & SQL CSS HTML 5 Java Script Programming J2EE Java and Core Java.
Demonstrate experience in designing and developing scalable software solutions.
Exhibit proficiency in database management and SQL query optimization.
Show capability in front-end development using CSS, HTML 5 and JavaScript Programming.
Have experience in mentoring and guiding junior developers.
Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the ability to solve complex technical issues.
Understand agile development methodologies and practices.
Showcase exceptional communication abilities to engage effectively with customers and team members.
Have a keen curiosity about staying updated with industry trends and technologies.
Experience in Life and Annuities Insurance is a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
Dedication to ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Certifications Required
Certified Java Developer Spring Professional Certification Certified Database Management Professional
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
