Job Description:
•Modifies JSP pages created by the development team through collaboration with the product/business owner to improve aesthetics and readability.
•Incorporate best practices and general web conventions to ensure all web pages are highly readable while also remaining fully compliant with Section 508 accessibility requirements.
•Captures requirements using an Agile process for creating user stories. Assist to convert user stories into a workable sprint working with product owner, scrum master and team. All code will be developed using VA ABC enterprise architecture.
•Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, may lead and direct the work of others, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Project Description:
•Primary project will be the creation of a public facing web application allowing users to perform actions related to alcohol licensing using Agile software development methodologies.
Product Registration application is a web application to automate the process of label approvals and franchise designations. Currently, our applicants must fill out paper applications and mail to the agency with payment and supporting documentation. This effort will eliminate the need for our applicants to manually submit label approval applications and franchise designations.
Vehicle Maintenance application is a web application to aid in the tracking of vehicle maintenance. This includes tracking mileage, fuel consumption, maintenance items and costs to aid in the analysis of vehicle upkeep and cost of ownership analysis. Currently it is a paper-based process with no means for analytics.
We also have several mobile applications in the pipeline we’d like to begin creating and piloting. These applications include an activity reporting application, an inspection application, and a mobile component of the vehicle maintenance application for our field agents.
•Primary team consists of 4-5 java developers, 1 business analyst, 1 quality analyst.
