Position Title: Jazz & Contemporary Music, Tutor Generalist Requisition Number: 0406073450 Location New York City Position Type: Student Department: Jazz/Dean's Office Responsibilities: The School of Jazz & Contemporary Music at the College of Performing Arts seeks highly motivated students to serve as Tutor Generalists. We’re looking for patient and responsible individuals to support instruction. This position reports to Part-time Associate Teaching Professor Ed MacEachen, and is an ideal position for students who are interested in a career in Jazz & Contemporary Music and education.
This is a SENS-UAW unit position as per the collective bargaining agreement between SENS-UAW, Local 7902 and the University.
This position is open to student applicants with Federal Work Study awards, as well as student applicants without a Federal Work Study award.

Work Mode: On-Campus Position
Hourly Rate: $28.08 (AY24-25), with contractual increases outlined in CBA
Hours per Week: Up to 10, as needed

Responsibilities: Tutor students in approved subjects as assigned by the Tutoring Coordinator Respond to email inquiries regarding tutoring assignments in a timely manner Submit timesheets and tutoring session confirmation forms in a timely manner Schedule tutoring sessions with assigned tutees Additional responsibilities as assigned to assist other students in out-of-class by tutoring and answering questions about course content taught in class. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: For each class you wish to tutor, minimum qualifications are as follows: Completed or tested out of class  Obtain faculty recommendation Excellent content knowledge in subject matter
