Job Responsibilities
Perform daily breeder flock service activities associated with handling and selecting healthy breeder hens and toms, and service the department equipment as outlined and described in the department operating manual Help coworkers in the areas of cost control, productivity, and safety by providing personal involvement in insemination area management. Must also be able to make operating decisions and have good problem solving skills.Minimum Qualifications
Valid driver's license Basic addition and subtraction math skills at a 6th grade level Cannot own or raise any type of fowl or hogs Ability to meet Breeder sanitation/isolation requirements Ability to understand our company programs and policies Must be able to communicate with all team members PHYSICAL: Must be able to wear eye and respiratory equipment on a continuous basis in compliance of hygiene policies Ability to walk on uneven surfaces Repeatedly grasp and pinch with both hands Must be able to work in a smoke free environment Able to flex and extend wrist occasionally Ability to work in all types of weather conditions Able to twist, stoop, bend, squat, lift, carry and reach while handling live turkeys below your shoulders to frequently above shoulder height, this could be up to 50 poundsPreferred Qualifications

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is $24.50 per hour.
