Job Title: Maintenance Controller Reports to: Director of Maintenance Classification: Salary Position Location: London or Dubai Status: Full Time-Remote **Company Description:** We are a Part 135 and Part 145 industry leading private aviation group specializing in private jet charter, jet card memberships, aircraft sales, management, parts, and maintenance. Dedicated to providing unparalleled luxury, safety, and efficiency in air travel, the company has close to 30 aircraft, 6 offices across the country, and over 200 employees supporting a global operation. **Role Objective:** Providing maintenance coordination and oversight for the Part 135 Charter Fleet. Essential Job Tasks: • Support flight crews with on the road maintenance support via phone, text and email • Communicate with maintenance vendors remotely via phone, text and email to return aircraft to service • Assist Director of Maintenance with scheduled and maintenance and planning • Assist with performing onsite and remote vendor audits • Work flexible/extended hours with short-notice schedule changes • Speak/read/write English fluently • Work in an at times physically demanding role • Complete a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug test and background check **Competencies:** • Part 135 Charter Operator experience preferred but not required • Prior Maintenance Controller experience preferred but not required • Hawker, Gulfstream or Challenger (Bombardier) experience preferred but not required • Experience utilizing aviation software preferred but not required • Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office • Ability to multi-task, collect and organize data, define problems and provide required reporting in a timely manner • Ability to work effectively with a sense of urgency • Ability to utilize the resources provided to assist with problem solving • Must be self-motivated and driven • Must be able to work efficiently with little direction and supervision • Must be flexible to the schedule changes the job may demand **Work Environment:** • This position requires the ability to work near moving mechanical parts on a limited basis • The noise level may be loud and use of headset is required • Willing to adapt as a varied schedule, including holidays, early morning, nights, overnights and weekends Physical Demands – As Needed Basis: • Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat and/or crawl • Able to sit without standing for long periods of time • Capable of lifting or moving items at different heights weighing up to 75 pounds • Able to hear clearly verbal communications in person, on the telephone **Travel:** • Very limited travel required Required Education/Experience: • Three (3) years proven experience in a similar position • A&P Certification preferred • High School diploma or GED • Has no certificate action since the date of the interview • Has no misdemeanors or felonies since the interview date **Language Skills:** • Ability to read, analyze, interpret and understand technical procedures and governmental regulations, sometimes quickly and under stressful or emergency situations. • Able to effectively present information to and respond to questions from management, dispatch, crew, air traffic control, and the general public. • Able to speak and be understood in English, including shouted verbal commands during emergency situations. **Reasoning/Problem Solving Ability:** • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. • Capable of interpreting a variety of multiple instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. • Must be able to remain calm, think and react quickly in all types of emergency situations. **Decision Making & Impact of Errors:** • Makes decisions to support strategic direction. o Decisions tend to be medium range and of medium significance with moderate consequences, but may in unusual situations be significant and have safety-of-flight consequences. o Decisions could require additional expenditure of resources if not sound and may impact safety. • Able to process information quickly and react in a positive manner during unexpected and/or serious situations. • Capable of controlling personal and emotional responses and acting appropriately under high levels of stress. **Direct Reports:** • This role has no direct reports.
