HOW A FEDERATION MANAGER (SIMULATIONS) WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Serves as a manager of the JLCCTC Federation and as a communications nucleus for multiple simultaneous events, with federates located at both CONUS and OCONUS sitesA subject matter expert, with skills to identify and quickly troubleshoot problems on federate systems (co-located and at remote sites), Runtime Infrastructure (RTI) software, client system software, and networking Ensures all exercise databases are complete, accurate, functional and on timePerform other duties as requiredWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Technical Certification IAW DoD 8570.01-M Baseline Computing Environment (CE) Certification Requirements at Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT II). Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or a related field preferred; five years’ experience in information technology management preferred.Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience; Five years’ experience within the past ten years, in planning simulation exercise architectures, supervising implementation of communication systems, and integration of Army Mission Command Systems in support of distributed exercises.Required Technical Skills: Technical experience in configuring, maintaining, and integrating JLCCTC federate systems; expert knowledge in the Joint Event Life Cycle; experience with integrating host model sites and other services simulations (AWSIM, MTWA, etc); expert knowledge of integrating C2 systems; in depth knowledge of HLA; expert understanding of DIS protocols and SISO standards; ensure DoD cybersecurity information assurance policies and RMF compliance.Security Clearance Level: Secret clearance required to start; must be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI.Required Skills and Abilities: Superb presentation and communication skills; strong ability to advise and educate leadership through non-technical terms on simulation requirements and training objectives; Must be able to lead a technical team to create a high fidelity, realistic training event in a Simulated and Constructive environment to meet customer requirements.Location: On Customer Site / moderate travel required to other customer sites throughout AoR.GDIT IS YOUR PLACE:
