HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER ASSOCIATE I WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Performs systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineeringPerforms systems modeling, simulation, and analysisParticipates in the upgrading of operating systems and design of systems enhancements.Provides input for documentation on new or existing systemsDevelops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves operating/hardware system problemsProvides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidanceMaintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned Participates in special projects as required

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: AS/AA in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experienceRequired Experience: 3+ years of related experience; military experience preferredRequired Technical Skills: Knowledge of systems engineering principles, methods, and techniques; Knowledge of the associated hardware, software and equipment; Provide network administration on configurations and perform diagnostics on the network infrastructure; voice / data systems architecture; Provide expertise in configuration, management and viability of primary switches, all remote nodes, and various communications devices; Coordinate requirements in conjunction with Network Enterprise Center (NEC), as necessary, to resolve failures of interfaces and networks; Develop operating procedures, monitors the ongoing operation of a complex network environment. Required Certification: Must meet DoD 8570 IAM I certification (SEC+)Security Clearance Level: SECRET clearance is required with ability to obtain TS/SCI ClearanceRequired Skills and Abilities: Superb communication skills; Must be able to perform with minimal guidanceLocation: On Customer Site/moderate travel to other customer sites throughout Pacific AoR
