HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER (MCiS) WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects.Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology, always on the lookout for new technologies, and works with management to evolve current processesPerforms complex systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering. Invents innovative ways to drive production operational efficiencyParticipates in the upgrading of operating systems and design of systems enhancements.Provides input for documentation on new or existing systemsDevelops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements.Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problemsDetermines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibilityMay coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionalsProvides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance  Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced systems engineers    Participates in special projects as required

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: BS/BA, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience of 10+ years.Required Experience: Advanced understanding and extensive practical experience with Army Command and Control Systems specifically AFATDS, TAIS and AMDWS; Comprehensive understanding on the integration of C2 systems with tactical and simulation networksRequired Technical Skills: Integrating C2 systems in support of a simulation driven exercise; ability to assist customer with defining training objectives; Professional Certification in one or more specific technologies may be required to meet DoD Approved RMF Baseline CertificationsSecurity Clearance Level: SECRET clearance is required with ability to obtain TS/SCI ClearanceRequired Skills and Abilities: Superb communication skills; Strong ability to advise and educate leadership through non-technical terms; Strong organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines to remain compliantLocation: On Customer SiteUS Citizenship Required
