Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Job Captain to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing construction drawings and details for multi-family, mixed-use buildings, and commercial construction projects, primarily focusing on new construction. This role involves using Revit and AutoCAD to produce construction documents, managing small to mid-sized projects independently, and being involved in all phases of architecture from inception through completion. The candidate will also coordinate with consultants, research codes as necessary, and occasionally conduct site visits.

ResponsibilitiesProduce construction drawings and details for multi-family and mixed-use buildings, and commercial construction projects.Use Revit and AutoCAD to produce construction documents.Manage small to mid-sized projects independently.Participate in all phases of architecture from inception through completion.Coordinate with consultants.Research codes as necessary.Conduct occasional site visits.Engage in schematic design, design development, site surveys, and construction administration as necessary.Essential SkillsProficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.5-8 years of professional experience in architectural design and drafting.Ability to manage small to mid-sized projects independently.Experience in producing construction drawings and documents.Strong communication skills for interaction with internal staff and external parties.Additional Skills & Qualifications5+ years of architectural experience.Broad project experience in multi-family residential, commercial, office interiors/fitouts, restaurants, and warehouses.Proficiency in architectural drafting and construction document production.Experience with SketchUp, schematic design, design development, and construction administration.Work Environment

Our firm is a small, dynamic team of six employees, including the principal architect who started the company in 2002. We handle a variety of commercial building projects, with a recent increase in multi-family and warehouse projects. The work environment offers flexibility in hours, typically from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with remote work options for the right candidate. This role requires managing smaller projects, client interaction, and supporting the principal architect with coordination and mentoring junior staff. Project cycles for smaller projects are typically 3-4 weeks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00
