Position SummaryThe Mold PM Technician/Tool Maker will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the Preventive Maintenance program for all of the Plastic Injection Molds at Medivators, Conroe, Texas. The primary responsibilities will be establishing standards and PM procedures, record keeping, and performing PM’s. This position will log all activity for each Mold so a concurrent history trail can be followed. This position will also be responsible for fulfilling Tool Maker duties as need and when time allows. This person shall be responsible to follow all safety rules and good work practices.
Shift: 2:00pm-10:00pm

DutiesMOLD PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
· Retrieve molds from storage and prepare for molding per the molding schedule
· Perform mold PM based on priority
· Prepare molds for storage and place in storage
· Maintain required documentation (in a log)
· Work with Molding Department to schedule PM’s and avoid scheduling/production conflicts
· Assist with job planning related to tooling projects
· Suggest and Implement improvements in departmental efficiency, quality, and safety
· Keep work area clean and orderly
· Set up necessary equipment/machinery
· Participate in Continuous Improvement events
· Ensure compliance to regulatory regulations through GMP’s and documentation
TOOL MAKER
· Prepare molds for production
· Read, interpret, and analyze blueprints; determine required machine operations; and consider the finish requirements for a task
· Inspect tools for defects and repair tools
· Work with cross-functional Teams
· Inspect products and select the correct shop equipment, precision measurement devices and other tools needed for job
· Perform precision work to exacting tolerances and dimensions
Education Degree High School Diploma or GEDRequired Experience· Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in Plastic Injection Molds
· Experience with injection molds, hot runner systems, pneumatic and hydraulic components
· Experience maintaining injection molds, hot runner systems, pneumatic and hydraulic components
· Journeyman Toolmaker or equivalent experience preferred
· Strong mechanical aptitude
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Must be able to read and write English
· Must be able to read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
· Must be able to work with minimal supervision
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
