**Job Description**
Install or assist in the installation and/or construction of bulkheads, ceiling panels, doors and trim, windows, rails, hardware, and any other related construction activities assigned by the Supervisor. Install or assist in the installation of insulation of compartment floors, ceilings, or interior/exterior walls. Use tools and equipment in an efficient and safe manner for daily activities. Install or assist in caulking windows, doors, wash basins, and toilet and shower compartments. Install or assist in the installation of adhesives, tiles, and carpeting of compartments. Review compartment blueprints and sketch systems to assist with electrical work such as: sizing, strapping, and pulling of cable, installation, and hook-ups on all lights, switches, equipment, and power panels as required. Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
**Responsibilities**
+ Install and/or construct bulkheads, ceiling panels, doors, trim, windows, rails, and hardware.
+ Install insulation for compartment floors, ceilings, and walls.
+ Use tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
+ Caulk windows, doors, wash basins, and shower compartments.
+ Install adhesives, tiles, and carpeting.
+ Review and interpret blueprints and sketches.
+ Assist with electrical work including cable sizing, strapping, and installation of lights, switches, and power panels.
+ Adhere to safety rules and regulations.

+ Experience in unfinished structures of vessels
+ Ability to install windows, doors, ceilings, bulkheads, and furniture
+ Mechanically inclined
+ Familiarity with blueprints and drawings
+ Ability to read and interpret documents and instruction
**Work Environment**
The job is located inside the NASSCO yard supporting new construction projects such as MATSON and TAO-X contracts. Employees are required to have specific tools on their first day, including a flashlight, screwdrivers, tape measure, vice grip pliers, clamps, screw pouch, pop rivet gun, crescent wrench, combination wrenches, ratchet, combination square, and a lockable heavy-duty tool bag.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
