The National Security Space Business Area of Lockheed Martin Space in King of Prussia, PA is seeking an experienced, creative, and high energy Systems Engineer with recent and relevant skills.

You will be designing state-of-the-art concepts while delivering innovative capabilities in a new and emerging mission area supporting Joint All Domain Command & Control (JADC2) initiatives and OPTICS IRAD portfolio activities. As a Systems Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and integrating interfaces across Space Common Products, with a focus on automating TCPED workflows. The ideal candidate will also be willing to step in and understand mission ground products' current capabilities and learn Space mission knowledge to fill any knowledge gaps.

The ideal candidate will have Systems Engineering experience, including Mission Analysis and CONOPS development, writing requirements and features, defining architectures, defining demonstrations for Customer exercises and demos, and generating test procedures to validate the solution meets the requirements.

The successful candidate will also have strong proficiency in writing test procedures and implementing manual and automated testing methods, as well as the ability to provide SE&A artifacts such as SV-01, SV-10Cs, and other required documentation. Additionally, the candidate will have experience in providing "as-is" and "to-be" architectures, and be proficient in documenting ICDs of APIs for OPTICS.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of industry standards, including OMS/UCI, OGC, WFS, WMS, REST, and others, and be committed to delivering high-quality solutions that meet or exceed customer requirements. The candidate will also ensure that solutions are scalable, maintainable, and supportable over time.
Finally, the successful candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence in all aspects of work, with a focus on exceeding customer expectations. The candidate will be a team player, able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure that all aspects of the program are aligned, from technical requirements to programmatic objectives.

The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Additionally, the candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Basic Qualifications:
- 4+ years experience as a Software-focused Systems Engineer

- Familiarity with Agile development processes / tools (e.g., Atlassian Jira)

- Strong proficiency in writing requirements and/ or test procedures

- In order to meet the requirements of the program, the selected candidate must be a U.S. Citizen to be considered with the ability to obtain and maintain at Top Secret Security Clearance
Desired Skills:
- Demonstrated ability and desire to be self-sufficient and apply critical thinking skills

- Knowledge of industry standards, including OMS/UCI, OGC, WFS, WMS, REST, and others

- Ability & willingness to travel within US up to 25%

- The candidate will have demonstrated the ability to communicate effectively and work in a collaborative environment

- Expertise in Space ISR and or TCPED Lifecycle

- Proven experience as a software-focused Systems Engineer with expertise in Space ISR TCPED

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $82,200 - $157,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
