The Opportunity:

KBR Mission IT and Security Solutions (MITSS), is a leader in Defence Mission Planning System development and integration. MITSS uniquely couple’s aviation mission planning environments, operational and engineering support, training, agile software development, and systems implementation, enhancing current Defence capabilities while designing the future military Mission Planning Environments.

KBR MITSS is currently looking for a highly driven technical training specialist to join the Team delivering Joint Data Network (JDN) Training Support Services to the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

The Joint Data Network Training Specialist will apply their skills and be part of a pro-active, hands-on technical training team, you will work closely with other training staff members and key client stakeholders to provide support to ADF Joint Data Network Training Continuum.

Due to the nature of JDN training activities, all applicants must have a minimum of NV1 Security Clearance, NV2 preferable.

The key responsibilities of the role, but is not limited to: 

Training Implementation

Delivery of face-to-face training in geographically dispersed locations

Supporting the conduct of JDN course trials

Conducting training assessments

Conducting all pre and post course administration requirements

Undertaking professional development to enhance facilitation skills.

​Training Design and Development

Contributing to SADL phase outputs for the Design and Development Phases of courseware

Development and maintenance of new and existing Lesson Management Plans (LMPs)

Development and maintenance of new and existing course content.

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

Essential:

NV 1 AGSVA Security Clearance.Recent Tactical Data Link Operator experience.Tactical Data Link knowledge including but not limited to Link 16/Link 11/Variable Message Format (VMF) and Integrated Broadcast Service (IBS).Experience with training programs for Defence inclusive of knowledge of the System Approach to Defence Learning (SADL).

Desirable:

NV 2 AGSVA Security Clearance.Operational Aircrew with training experience.TAE40116 Certificate IV – Training and AssessmentExperience with development course content in Articulate RiseExperience with Learning Management Systems;Captivate,Lectora,ADELEExperience with training end users, inclusive of training plans, customer engagement and training delivery.Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments and proactively managing customer expectations.Ability to work and liaise within a team environment.Ability to effectively manage multiple, concurrent activities, while understanding and managing priorities, dependencies and risk.
