Journey Level Woods Mechanic

Weyerhaeuser’s Pe Ell Timberlands operation, based out of Pe Ell, WA has an opening for a Journey Level Woods Mechanic. We are seeking an individual who desires to work in a market-focused logging environment. This is a full-time, dayshift, hourly position. Hourly employees at this operation are represented by the IAM-AW Union. Benefits (in accordance with the Labor Agreement) include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k plans, Vacation and Holidays. The rate of pay is $39.780 per hour.

Key Functions:

Take the personal initiative to work safely, contributing to the safety of the team members, and maintaining a safe work environmentEffectively interface with operators to quickly detect and repair equipment, as well as contact or obtain additional resources to respond to identified maintenance needsUtilize laptop diagnostic systems, troubleshoot engines, drivetrains, electrical systems, brakes, mount tires, etc.Re-build/repair diesel engines (Cummins and Paccar) and gas enginesTroubleshoot, repair and calibrate processor systems (timber-rite etc.)Perform welding and fabrication functionsOperate field service truckPerform regular maintenance on equipment to include changing hoses, fluid changes, etc.

Compensation:Your wages and benefits are set by the labor agreement between Weyerhaeuser and the union representing employees at this work site. The rate of pay is $39.780 per hour.
