**Job Title: Journey Worker Solar Electrician** **Job Description** The Journey Worker Solar Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar photovoltaic (PV) systems across New York State. This role requires a thorough understanding of electrical systems, solar technology, and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, either solar, commercial, or industrial. **Responsibilities** + Install, maintain, and repair solar PV systems, including wiring, inverters, and other components. + Conduct site assessments to determine the best placement and configuration of solar panels. + Ensure all installations comply with local, state, and federal codes and standards. + Perform routine maintenance and inspections of solar systems to ensure optimal performance. + Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to solar PV systems. + Collaborate with other team members, including engineers and project managers, to ensure successful project completion. + Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs. + Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. **Essential Skills** + Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification. + Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical work, with a focus on solar PV systems. + Strong understanding of electrical and solar PV systems. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. + Strong communication and teamwork skills. + Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions. + Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. **Why Work Here?** This is an opportunity to work with a small and local company in Western New York that has been in business for 15 years and is very stable. Depending on the job, travel to different sites may be required, especially for large-scale projects. The work can be interesting and varied, involving both small residential installations and large commercial systems. Candidates should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, which may include other electricians, roofers, and tradespeople. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with potential overtime and occasional Saturday work depending on the project and season. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Buffalo, New York. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $83000.00/yr.
