**Job Title: Journey Worker Solar Electrician** **Job Description** The Journey Worker Solar Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar photovoltaic (PV) systems in commercial and residential settings across New York State. This role requires a thorough understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a strong work history within electrical work, either within commercial or industrial installation. **Responsibilities** + Install, maintain, and repair solar PV systems, including wiring, inverters, and other components. + Conduct site assessments to determine the best placement and configuration of solar panels. + Ensure all installations comply with local, state, and federal codes and standards. + Perform routine maintenance and inspections of solar systems to ensure optimal performance. + Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to solar PV systems. + Collaborate with other team members, including engineers and project managers, to ensure successful project completion. + Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs. + Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical work, with a focus on solar PV systems. + Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent experience. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. + Strong communication and teamwork skills. + Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + OSHA 10 certification. + NABCEP certification or other relevant solar certifications. + Experience with energy storage systems and microgrids. + Valid driver license and reliable transportation. **Why Work Here?** Our client is a small and local company based in Western New York, known for its stability and employee-focused culture.
