Journeyman Electrician
**Job Title: Journeyman Electrician** **Job Description** We are seeking two experienced Journeyman Electricians to join our team in Washington D.C. The ideal candidates will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment and systems. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering great benefits and a collaborative team environment. **Responsibilities** + Create safe Maintenance of Traffic (M.O.T) control by setting up and removing traffic control devices, including cones, message/arrow boards, and temporary signage. + Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment such as transformers, switchboards, panel boards, conduit systems, disconnects, contactors, circuit breakers, motor starters, relays, controllers, motors, heaters, CCTV cameras, lane control signals, electronic message signs, lighting, PLC, VFD, etc. + Be knowledgeable about NEC codes and requirements. + Use advanced troubleshooting skills to accurately diagnose causes of faults across the full spectrum of electrical assets and systems in a timely manner. + Implement cost-effective and reliable repairs to NEC standards. + Maintain quality workmanship at all times. + Collaborate with other trades, teams, and inspectors. + Perform basic maintenance and repair of structures. + Be available for emergency response rotations, including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays. **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician. + Proficiency in installing and repairing electrical equipment including transformers, switchboards, panel boards, conduit systems, disconnects, contactors, circuit breakers, motor starters, relays, controllers, motors, heaters, CCTV cameras, lane control signals, electronic message signs, lighting, PLC, and VFD. + Advanced troubleshooting skills. + Knowledge of NEC codes and standards. + Ability to work collaboratively with other trades and teams. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Any additional electrical knowledge is a plus. **Why Work Here?** This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with no layoffs and a team environment.
