Journeyman Electrician
**Job Title: Journeyman Electrician** **Job Description** Join a leading provider of electrical construction, building automation systems, data and telecommunications networks, security, and energy analytics. We are currently seeking skilled and experienced journeyman electricians to join our team in Lock Haven, PA. This position offers a variety of work across local industrial facilities and occasional travel to Penn State University. **Responsibilities** + Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments + Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings + Perform electrical testing and diagnostics to identify and resolve issues + Install and connect wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components + Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety standards + Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and systems, including motors, transformers, and control systems + Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment + Collaborate with other trades and team members to complete projects efficiently + Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used + Respond to emergency electrical issues promptly and effectively **Essential Skills** + At least 5 years of electrical experience + Valid driver's license and reliable transportation + Ability to work in commercial and industrial settings + Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams + Experience with PLC troubleshooting, automated equipment, motor control, conduit bending, and arc flash + Strong mechanical aptitude **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + OSHA 10 certification (required prior to starting the job, can be obtained during the hiring process) + Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and maintenance + Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills + Ability to work independently and as part of a team + Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety + Good communication and interpersonal skills **Why Work Here?** We offer a stable and respected work environment with a longstanding reputation for excellence. The work environment includes exposure to various electrical systems and technologies, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of McElhattan, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
