Under general direction of the Director/Manager of Plant Operations, or their liaison, responsible and accountable for the operations, maintenance, repair and installation of the plant electrical equipment in a safe, effective, and efficient manner in response to or in support of customer needs.
Must fill out completed work orders and/or daily time sheets and turn them in on a daily basis. Monitors and maintains required supplies and tools in a neat and orderly fashion insuring that proper inventory is maintained, tools are functioning properly and readily accessible and that the work/production areas are in a clean and neat manner as evidenced by management or regulatory observation. Notify management of needed supplies in a timely manner by filling out material request forms.
Operates, maintains, repairs and installs electrical equipment and systems in the hospital according to the manufacture and hospital procedures and policies in accordance with regulatory codes and standards to assure proper operation and safety.
Maintains electrical distribution system including primary and secondary switchgear, motor control centers, main and secondary breakers, branch circuit breaker panels.
Perform corrective and preventative work order requests on ensure proper operations of electrical distribution system.
Install and repair lighting, low voltage devices, clocks, timers, intercoms, nurse call systems, dietary equipment as requested.
Assist with the work of contractors as necessary.
Responsible for installing and maintaining dust barrier when performing job duties.
Range of PayBetween $26.74 and $37.30 per hour, based on experience.
QualificationsRequired
High School Diploma or equivalent
5 years of documented work experience in the operation, maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical utility production and distribution systems in a commercial, industrial or institutional facility. Performing the above duties on low and medium voltage distribution, motor control centers, etc.
