**Job Title: Journeyman Electrician**
**Job Description**
As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for fabricating, installing, and operating various hydraulic, vacuum, and pneumatic systems. You will provide electrical installation and maintenance services at D-Site and NEAT Facilities, working from detailed electrical schematics and prints. Your duties will include bending electrical conduit, pulling large and small gauge wiring, and installing and modifying electrical panels, raceways, enclosures, motor-driven equipment, lighting systems, and other associated electrical hardware and devices. Future training may be required to obtain a qualified operator status within a test facility, and you will assist in the decommissioning and relocating of the NEAT facility. You will be responsible for any electrical systems in the facility.
**Responsibilities**
+ Fabricate, install, and operate hydraulic, vacuum, and pneumatic systems.
+ Provide electrical installation and maintenance services at D-Site and NEAT Facilities.
+ Work from detailed electrical schematics and prints.
+ Bend electrical conduit and pull large and small gauge wiring.
+ Install and modify electrical panels, raceways, enclosures, motor-driven equipment, lighting systems, and other associated electrical hardware and devices.
+ Assist in decommissioning and relocating the NEAT facility.
+ Responsible for electrical systems in the facility.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with pipe bending, tube bending, pneumatics, and vacuum systems.
+ Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
+ Proficiency with hand and power tools.
+ Experience with conduit bending, installation, troubleshooting, and cooling systems.
+ Knowledge of voltage distribution, amps, and 480V wiring.
+ Experience with industrial electrical systems and service.
+ Experience with 3 phase motors.
+ Journeyman's Card or Associate's degree in Electrical Technology.
+ 5+ years of industrial electrical experience.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ R&D laboratory experience.
+ Experience with inspection and repair.

**Work Environment**
The Test Facilities Operation, Maintenance, and Engineering (TFOME) team at the NASA Glenn Research Center provides engineering and technical services in aeronautics, space power, and propulsion test facilities. This position is located at the facility in Sandusky, OH, and will involve working at both the NEAT (NASA Electric Aircraft Test Facility) and D-Site (Battery Testing Facility). During testing periods, electricians will spend about 60% of their time in the control room monitoring systems and 40% performing preventative maintenance on the facility. The role involves setting up and commissioning new facilities, as well as decommissioning and relocating existing ones.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $36.12 - $36.12
