**Job Title: Journeyman Electrician** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to provide electrical installation and maintenance services to a wide variety of research test facilities operating at a broad range of voltages. The working hours are from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. **Responsibilities** + Provide electrical installation and maintenance services to research test facilities. + Work from detailed electrical schematics and prints. + Bend electrical conduit and pull large and small gauge wiring. + Install and modify electrical panels, raceways, enclosures, motor-driven equipment, and lighting systems. + Perform motor meggering and work with other associated electrical hardware and devices. + Obtain qualified operator status within a test facility through future training. **Essential Skills** + Journeyman or 5+ years of electrician experience. + Experience with electrical testing equipment. + Ability to read and work from schematics. + Experience with AC/DC motors. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and maintenance. + Experience with electrical design, installation, and safety. + Understanding of voltage distribution, regulation, and high voltage systems. **Why Work Here?** Working for a NASA subcontractor provides an excellent opportunity for career growth, with many employees being hired directly by NASA. When hired directly, you will have a choice of three health plans (two PPOs and an HSA), two weeks of PTO to start (up to five weeks based on service time), tuition reimbursement, a 401k with 4% match (fully vested), 11 paid holidays, and an awards/bonus program. **Work Environment** The Test Facilities Operation, Maintenance and Engineering (TFOME) team at the NASA Glenn Research Center provides engineering and technical services in aeronautics, space power, and propulsion test facilities. During testing, which occurs four to six times a year, you must be open to working off-shift/second shift. You will receive notice of testing schedules in advance. For example, a six-week test may require two weeks on days, two weeks on afternoons, and two weeks on nights. Shift differentials are 7.5% for the second shift and 10% for the third shift. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, Ohio. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $36.12 - $36.12 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
