Position: Journeyman Electrician Department: Loenbro – Industrial Services Reports To: Electrical Superintendent / Project Manager / Area Manager Location: Nebraska (Various sites) Journeyman Electrician: Loenbro Instrumentation & Electrical is looking for an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. This is a project position for candidates who have a passion for safety, and who have experience in a heavy industrial environment. The Journeyman Electrician will work independently or as part of a team which will be responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of industrial equipment and systems. Job Duties: + Assists existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems. + Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests. + Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements. + Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. + Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. + Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential. + Up-dates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications. + Accomplishes operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed. + The Electrician will follow and perform other instructions and other related duties as set forth by management. + Capable of reading and understanding overview drawings, one-line drawings, and electrical schematics. + Ability to layout conduit, cable tray, and overall jobsite installations. + Work with and train apprentices on the job. + Perform all other duties as assigned. Skills/Qualifications: + Must be a Nebraska licensed electrician or able to reciprocate. + Minimum Journeyman Skill level experience in instrumentation an industrial electrical system. + Experience in electrical and pneumatic process controls. + Have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. + Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen. + Basic computer knowledge required. + Must be 18 years of age or older. + Committed to Loenbro’s core values and safety policies. Essential Requirements: + Working outside the majority of the time with potential exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures. + Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors. + Exposure to areas with limited visibility and Limited working surfaces. + Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights). + Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly for required tasks. + Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of two miles per day. + Use of respirator if position requires. + Potential or periodic amounts of time for the following: + Sit, stoop, crawl, stand, and kneel. + If driving is required, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability will be required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.
