**Job Title: Journeyman Electrician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team. This role involves installing wires in buildings, installing equipment, and troubleshooting machinery once production starts. You will be responsible for the electrical install and troubleshooting, including PLC Troubleshooting (Siemens).
**Responsibilities**
+ Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and production equipment.
+ Work with other maintenance team members, such as Maintenance Mechanic and Maintenance Tool Maker, to diagnose malfunctioning machinery and discuss possible solutions.
+ Plan and install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
+ Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replace damaged or broken wires and cables.
+ Utilize a laptop and HMI to interface with various process logic controllers to troubleshoot and diagnose problems with production equipment, CNC machinery, assembly lines, and other equipment.
+ Make backups of programs, parameters, and machine data as needed.
+ Replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, motors, proximity sensors, and other similar devices.
+ Locate replacement parts necessary to repair equipment including MRO crib or maintenance warehouse.
+ Adjust functional parts of production equipment to achieve functionality and peak performance.
+ Start production equipment to test performance.
+ Utilize a variety of common hand tools and power tools such as drills, saws, grinders, pipe benders, threaders, and other applicable tools.
+ Demonstrate knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
+ Initiate purchase requisitions for parts and machines.
+ Assist mechanics when needed and perform mechanical duties within the individual’s ability, not limited to electrical duties.
+ Perform Preventative Maintenance on time according to the provided schedule.
**Essential Skills**
+ 5+ years in an industrial setting
+ Journeyman's Card (State or UAW, current or expired)
+ Experience in installing and troubleshooting electrical systems on industrial machinery
+ Knowledge of 3-phase motors and 480V
+ Facilities electrical knowledge
+ PLC Troubleshooting (Siemens)
+ Ability to read blueprints and schematics
+ Experience in replacing faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, motors, proximity sensors, and other similar devices
+ Skill in utilizing a laptop and HMI to interface with various process logic controllers to troubleshoot and diagnose problems with production equipment, assembly lines, and other equipment
+ Debugging electrical issues
+ Experience in industrial and facilities electrical work
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with Festo Blocks (cylinders)
+ Ability to be a team player and assist with machine repair when needed

**Work Environment**
Work in a newly renovated plant in Warren, MI, equipped with all new electrical systems, 4x lines of CNC Machinist for production, conveyors, carousel assembly equipment, and robotic weld cells. Shift times include 1st shift (7am - 3:30pm), 2nd shift (3pm - 11:30pm), and 3rd shift (11pm - 7:30am) with a 50 cent shift premium for the off shifts. Average workweek is 50 hours, with potential for 7-day workweeks until production catches up. Must be comfortable with some travel to Oklahoma to help tear down lines and bring them to Michigan until March. Sundays are paid double time.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, Michigan.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
